  i've noted active, devoted jw's state the above.. and, it's not a problem for me to remain trusting of god, i just don't trust religions or men.. recently, a member of this forum stated that he remains an active jw, in the family of god's people, wanting to encourage and do good - whilst recognising that the pastoral leaders (the gb) have shipwrecked the faith of many, being unsound scripturally etc, etc.. stop and think about this - the bible says to not follow after those who lie and hurt the faith of "little ones".. the pharisees were accused of traversing over lands and expending much energy to make a single convert - only for that convert to end up worse of than he started off with.. it's one thing to not believe this is the 'truth' and feeling the awful pressure of managing ones life, trying not to lose ones family.. it's quite another thing to declare oneself to be a christian believer of god's jw household, and somehow believe the god of love would use corrupt liars to parade as jesus' brothers in the urgency of last days.

  really?

  and, to then visibly promote faith in corrupt men, and try to bring converts into a place where the rulership is wrong.. some of us are dying from hurt here.......give me a break..

  so back to thee days a week at the KH

  so now with the saturday viewing of videos at the kh there's pressure to be at the kh to see the gb do their thing.

  this week's thing of course is beg for more money.

  also they are meeting to practice singing the new songs when no new videos are out.

  Once read an aticle in WT about a Japanese bros. life, and as we all know secular work is a big deal in Japan, as it is to me as well being in the non union trades. Meetings twice a week is my max, if that. When a CO comes around it's all I can do to be at all three, if not four including sat morning.

  As the Japanese brother put it in the article : He'll do more when he retires, for now he has to work to support himself !

  somebody on another thread suggested that those still in could express their opinions on steven lett's performance.

  i am still in and i was shocked, dismayed and saddened by it.

  i became a witness over 30 yrs ago and the issue of donations was a non-issue for so many years.. now, it is a huge one for the org.

  They shouldn't even have TV broadcasts and should just stay in the background. The GB have gone Hollywood on us. You see their jewelry and watches, nice clothes too bro ! Getting info at the hall through announcements as before should suffice. For those that cannot attend or are irregular as I am then though the site in printed format. Scrap the TV, I felt stupid watching it. Backing up 15 years when I came in to the truth I would of made fun of them and would of said to go pound sand.

  I remember reading a WT article back 10+ years ago on an Amish sister coming into the truth, wonder how she feels about today ?

  The GB has become a self serving embarrassment !

  My Last thoughts in Field Service Before the Elderly Man Shat Himself and Pissed his pants in My New Car!

  debating this was going to be the last day in field service was not hard after dealing with a nasty mess because i was grouped with the misfits of the kingdom hall!

  i was reading this website on my phone while something started to stink in my car and one of the weird kids nobody wanted to work with yelled "hey, you leaking all over my seat, he was freaked out too!

  " the older, retired elder, his pioneer daughter had forgotten to put his depends on and that became my problem.

  Went on an RV once and the householders place reeked of cigarette smoke. Plus the elder I went with talks loud and articulates well, plus is real upbeat about everything. Made me sick and started to get a panic attack, went to the bathroom and used a cold wet towel on my face. Then sat on the stairs and got it together a little, left not long after. I hate small talk and prefer walking and hitting a complete street than going for car rides or on other peoples visits. A people person I am not. Funny how I could of went for a 30 min run after and feel fine. I just can't be trapped, died in the wool country boy. I just do what I can now.

  couple of weeks ago an elder took a young man aside and crawled all over him after the tms for wearing a "skinny" tie.

  it was one of those 2 inch wide ties.

  nothing bright or scandalous about.

  What a fool that elder is. How about commending the young guy for just being there and supporting the meeting ? Elders like that are basically just bullies looking for an excuse to pounce, I've met a few. Kid should start working out. Sad to say but size, strength and frame gets respect.

  Eric post, hilarious ! Once went out with asn elderly couple I have known since childhood.

  The brother stepped in some dog crap and then came back into my car, hehe ! Good thing I still hade my rubber winter carpets and that it was a rainy day, was so funny. Him being German and the way he acted made it even better. Good memories, going to drive out and see them this summer.

  i went to a j.w funeral and saw some people i used to hang out with many years ago and they all seemed to want to tell me if they or any member of their family were elders,m.s's,pioneers ect.. karter..

  Ha ! No way I'll ever show up at a hall with an Ipad ! Simplicity rules.

  Look at ME I have an ipad ! Personal choices, not for me. I really should not be judging though.
